Dana Stein Academics can arm students with executive functioning skills that are essential to success in the classroom. Private tutors provide students with tools that are designed to support classroom organization skills and a framework to attack tasks, assignments, projects and challenges independently. Sessions last 45 or 60 minutes and include planning and prioritizing; learning to set up a schedule and timeline so students can tackle short and long term assignments; time management lessons; and developing essential study habits that fit the individual needs of the student. The student's schoolwork, homework, test prep and curriculum are integrated into and often guide the sessions.
Dana and her staff are trained in this area by Rush NeuroBehavioral Center, a best-in-class organization known for exceptional service, clinical and educational innovation, and ground-breaking research. All DSA Executive Functioning tutors are RNBC trained or will go through this training.
